Nordea in New York still serving customers

Despite Hurricane Sandy hitting the New York City area Monday afternoon, closing down infrastructure and many companies and offices, Nordea in New York has continued to serve its customers.

The New York Branch serves mainly Nordic companies and their affiliates in North America, as well as companies within Shipping, Offshore & Oil and North American companies active in Nordea’s home markets with comprehensive banking services covering payment and cash management services, financing and typical dealing room products, such as foreign exchange and interest rate services.

The Branch is located in a part of Manhattan, that has not been flooded and has not experienced any loss of power. All services are operated, i.e. funding, payments, cash management, lending, etc., and customers are not impacted by the situation. The Markets activities are though temporarily managed from the Nordics.
