Nordea Building Receives the Award for Most Energy-efficient Building in Latvia, 2011

The Alojas Biznesa Centrs, where the central office of Nordea bank is located, took part in the “Most Energy-efficient Building in Latvia, 2011” competition and received the highest rating in two categories: “Most Energy-efficient Building in Latvia, 2011” and “Most Sustainable Building in Latvia, 2011”.

Nordea’s central office also received a cash award for its acquisition of energy certificates, which were granted by means of an international industrial system, product and work environment inspection, testing and certification company known as A/S Inspecta Latvia. The competition evaluated the building’s energy-efficiency indicators and total consumption as well as sustainability solutions and principles of their application.

The Nordea building is an A-class office premises that the experts recognised as setting an example for “green-building” architecture and construction. It was designed by Sarma&Norde architect firm. In terms of architectural solutions and technologies, this is one of the most modern office buildings in Latvia.
